I am sure you have been following the progress of C-262: An Act to ensure that the laws of Canada are in harmony with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
This Thursday, the Senate will vote to send the Bill to committee, nearly a year after it entered the Senate.
We need your help to ensure respect for Indigenous rights and to advance reconciliation in Canada, as called for by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
I’m urging you to do whatever possible this Thursday to be present in the Senate and vote ‘Yes’ to advance this important Bill to be studied by the standing committee.
